Learning Style

Some people believe that everyone learns in the same way. This simply is not true. If you can understand your learning style, you can find the best times, places and strategies to maximize your school success. Understanding your learning style is an important key to improving your grades!

This lesson will help you better understand your learning style and the conditions that help you to study most efficiently. Each section takes you one step closer to uncovering the ideal circumstances that will help you learn most efficiently.

Welcome to Module One of Foundations for Study Skills. Like all of the modules in the program, the Learning Style Module stands alone as a complete program and can be used by itself with students in middle school, high school and early college. It is also a great resource for non-traditional students who are returning to the academic world to pursue new goals or degrees. Module One is also available for purchase in a CD format or as a downloadable ZIP file for $25.

The Learning Styles Module is complete in itself, but there is an optional PDF workbook available for purchase for $5 US. The workbook contains paper versions of the exercises on the computer screen, additional activities that correlate with each section, and a bonus lesson on goal-setting. It provides teachers and home schoolers with tangible, gradable products and is useful for extra practice, clarification, and recording responses. The workbook includes answer keys and can be used to keep a record of student progress. With nearly fifty pages, it's an invaluable resource for serious students. If you choose to use this supplemental workbook, please respect the copyright. One copy of the workbook is to be purchased for each student. If you teach a class or would like to discuss making the resource available to a larger group, please contact me for deep discounted rates to make the project affordable.

To purchase your copy of the Foundations for Study Skills Module One Workbook, please visit the workbook sales page to make a Paypal purchase (Paypal account or various credit cards accepted). If you prefer to have the workbook mailed to you in paper format, please send a money order for $15 (to cover duplicating and postage) to Sandy Fleming, PO Box 528, Edwardsburg, MI 49112.
