Lesson Plan: Practice Sight Words 1
February 21st, 2008 by admin
Goal:
- Students will read selected sight words.
Note: Five is the recommended number of words that most students can learn comfortably at one time. Adjust this number for your students’ needs.
Materials:
- Flashcards with selected sight words
- Checklist of words for each student
Preparation:
- Choose words that each student needs to review. If you are working with multiple students, you can color code the flashcards or the writing on them. Make multiple copies.
- Hide all of the words around the play area.
Procedure:
- Have the students search for their words and bring each one to you when found.
- Ask the student to read the word. Mark performance on checklist.
Evaluation:
Use the final trial as the evaluation for each word.
