Briefly, the methodology explained in Reading Reflex is the Phono-Graphix method.  A bridge to the written word is created through the use of what they call “sound-pictures.”  The first concepts taught include a visual cue as well as the usual spellings of words, such as t and h spaced closely together with other sounds more spread out, or long vowels underlined.  The idea is that students will have an easier time seeing and remembering the patterns with these extra cues, which are then gradually phased out.
